Medical gases: ensuring delivery from plant to patient

Delivering medical gases to hospitals is complex and involves a wide range of product, service and regulatory factors. One lesson that Covid-19 taught the world is that medical gases are not background technical infrastructure but integral to patient care.

This means there is a now a more concerted push to see medical gases, infrastructure and patient care within a wider context.

In the latest 1895 podcast, Christian Borrie, Director of Healthcare at GCE Medical, and Emmanuel deGarsignies, General Manager, reflect on how a “plant to patient” approach can improve safety, efficiency and accountability across the full value chain.

GCE Medical, the healthcare division of ESAB Corporation, specialises in gas pressure and control, working in industries where reliability is non-negotiable – not just healthcare but also electronics and food and beverage.
