GR Infraprojects Secures ₹488 Crore NTPC BESS Project at Mouda Thermal Power Station

G R Infraprojects Limited has shared an important update confirming that it has emerged as the lowest bidder for a major energy infrastructure project issued by NTPC Limited. The project is titled EPC Package for BESS Implementation at NTPC Thermal Power Stations for Lot-1 and is specifically linked to the Mouda Super Thermal Power Station located in Mouda. NTPC has awarded this work under the engineering, procurement, and construction model, which places full responsibility on the selected contractor to design, supply, install, and commission the system.

The total contract value for this work is around ₹487.78 crore, with the precise amount stated as ₹487,77,77,777 in the filing. G R Infraprojects Limited is expected to complete the implementation within a period of fifteen months from the date of award. The company secured this position after the financial bids were opened on January 16, 2026, where its proposal was identified as the most competitive among all participants. The company has also mentioned that more updates will be provided as the process moves toward formal award and execution in the coming months.

In line with regulatory requirements, the company further clarified that the trading window for dealing in its securities remains closed. This decision has been taken in compliance with SEBI’s Prohibition of Insider Trading Regulations of 2015. The closure applies to all designated persons and will stay in effect until forty-eight hours after the declaration of financial results for the quarter ending December 31, 2025.

The official communication regarding these developments was signed by Sudhir Mutha, who serves as the Company Secretary of G R Infraprojects Limited. This project represents a strong signal of the company’s growing ability to diversify beyond its traditional area of road and highway construction. It also highlights the increasing role of battery energy storage systems in the country’s power sector as demand for efficient and flexible energy solutions continues to rise.
