Japan’s Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (CE&IG) has supported the commissioning of in Alberta, Canada.
The country’s first facility for capturing and sequestering carbon dioxide in sedimentary storage is also being billed as “the world’s first cross-technology DAC platform.”
Nikkiso CE&IG delivered the centralised CO2 purification and liquefaction system that serves as the final processing stage for all captured CO2 produced at the facility.
This system processes the combined output from all DAC units and is designed with the flexibility to accommodate future DAC technologies as they are added, enabling the safe handling, liquefaction, and permanent storage of CO2 at scale.
