WASHINGTON, Feb 6 (Reuters) – U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said on Friday he will before long visit Venezuela to meet with “all the leadership” and to get a better understanding of on-the-ground oil and gas production operations there.

Wright did not say when the trip will take place. The Trump administration has said it will manage Venezuela’s oil business indefinitely after seizing President Nicolas Maduro last month.
