India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy released the fourth update to the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for solar cells. The update adds new domestic manufacturers, reinforces policy certainty, and supports India’s goal of building a resilient, self-reliant solar manufacturing ecosystem.


CleanMax Enviro Energy is close to raising nearly ₹1,500 crore in a pre-IPO funding round, with Temasek expected to participate. The capital will support portfolio expansion across commercial and industrial renewables, storage, and decarbonisation solutions ahead of a potential public listing.


West Bengal Green Energy Development Corporation Limited issued tenders for 3.5 MW of rooftop solar projects integrated with battery energy storage systems. The initiative aims to enhance grid reliability, optimise rooftop assets, and promote decentralised clean power across government and institutional buildings.


The Bihar government has moved forward with procuring 190 MW of wind-solar hybrid power supported by battery storage. The project is designed to deliver round-the-clock renewable energy, improve grid stability, and support the state’s clean energy transition and peak demand management.


The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission approved tariffs for 2,100 MW of firm and dispatchable renewable energy projects integrated with storage. This marks a key milestone in enabling round-the-clock renewable supply and strengthening market frameworks for hybrid and storage-backed power procurement.


A subsidiary of Saatvik Green Energy secured a ₹9.63 crore solar PV module supply order from a leading IPP-EPC player. The win highlights the company’s growing market traction, strong order momentum, and increasing demand for domestically manufactured, ALMM-compliant modules.


Pahal Solar announced the expansion of its manufacturing capacity to 3 GW while securing ALMM approval and BIS 2023 certification. The move strengthens its competitive position in India’s fast-growing domestic solar manufacturing market and aligns with national self-reliance objectives.


Galaxy Solar signed a ₹10,080 crore memorandum of understanding with the Maharashtra government to develop solar manufacturing and infrastructure projects. The investment is expected to generate jobs, strengthen regional supply chains, and reinforce Maharashtra’s position as a renewable energy hub.


Clean energy and solar projects dominate Maharashtra’s ₹10,880 crore investment push in the Vidarbha region. The initiative aims to drive industrial growth, accelerate renewable deployment, enhance grid infrastructure, and promote balanced regional development through sustainable energy investments.


Adani Energy Solutions secured financing from Japanese institutions for a 6 GW green HVDC transmission corridor. The project will support large-scale renewable evacuation, strengthen interstate power flows, and play a critical role in integrating India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy capacity.


Northeast Frontier Railway achieved 18.4 MWp of installed solar capacity, reinforcing Indian Railways’ clean energy transition. The deployment reduces carbon emissions, lowers operational costs, and supports national targets for renewable energy adoption across transport infrastructure.


Mumbai strengthened its grid with the completion of the 1,000 MW Kudus–Aarey HVDC corridor. The project enhances renewable energy integration, improves transmission reliability, and supports the city’s growing demand for clean, stable, and resilient power infrastructure.


Radiance Renewables announced a $100 million investment to accelerate integrated clean energy solutions across India. The initiative focuses on solar, storage, and energy management platforms to support corporate decarbonisation and India’s long-term net-zero ambitions.


According to a new IEA report, global electricity demand is expected to grow at over 3.5% annually through 2030. Rapid electrification, data centres, EV adoption, and clean energy transitions are driving unprecedented growth in power consumption worldwide.
