Helium exploration company Quantum Helium will carry out an extended helium production test of its Sagebrush-1 reserve in southwest Colorado over the coming weeks.
The production testing should confirm flow rates and commercial prospects. Previously, Sagebrush-1 flowed helium concentrations of 2.76%.
Quantum Helium’s Sagebrush and Coyote Wash projects have over one billion cubic feet (bcf) of helium reserves. The company has a 90% and 100% working interest in the respective projects.
The Sagebrush Project involves helium production testing alongside oil production, which produces around 40 barrels of oil per day across seven wells.
