IMI appoints new APAC managing director for industrial automation

UK-based global engineering company IMI has appointed Harry Deng as Managing Director for its Industrial Automation business in Asia-Pacific.

Deng will oversee strategy and operations across key markets including China, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand, India, Japan and Korea. His remit includes driving organic growth, strengthening customer partnerships, and improving supply chain and operational performance.

The company said he will focus on key segments such as factory automation, fluid control, rail and energy.

Deng brings more than 30 years of industrial experience, having held senior leadership roles including Managing Director and General Manager positions at international companies.
