Masirah Oil to start three-well drilling program at Oman’s Yumna field in May

April 06, 2026

(WO) — Masirah Oil plans to begin drilling a three-well development program at the offshore Yumna field in Oman in May 2026, advancing activity in Block 50.

The company, a subsidiary of Rex International, operates the block with a 100% working interest.

The program will focus on development drilling aimed at supporting production from the Yumna field, which lies offshore Oman.

The updated timeline reflects ongoing planning and preparation for the campaign, as operators in the region continue to advance offshore development projects.

The Yumna field remains a key asset within Block 50, where Masirah Oil is progressing efforts to optimize output and further delineate resources.
