JinkoSolar has recently signed a 53MW module supply agreement with customers in Kazakhstan, with all projects to be equipped with Tiger Neo 3.0 high-efficiency modules. This includes 23MW in the Shieli region and 30MW in the Zhanakorgan region. The partnership not only demonstrates the Kazakh market’s strong confidence in JinkoSolar’s technological capabilities but also further validates the global leadership of JinkoSolar’s N-type TOPCon technology in enhancing power plant returns.
Kazakhstan boasts abundant solar resources and vast land areas, making it highly suitable for large-scale ground power plant development. However, maximizing investment returns under real-world constraints—such as high summer temperatures, large temperature swings, high logistics costs, and capital pressure—is no easy task. For local customers, the ideal PV solution must meet three core requirements: low initial investment, high power output, and fast payback. The Tiger Neo 3.0 modules are designed precisely around these needs.
I. Less Land, Lower BOS Costs: Efficiency That Shrinks the Footprint
With a mass-production efficiency of up to 24.8% and power output of 670W, the Tiger Neo 3.0 modules help customers reduce land occupation and BOS costs (mounting structures, cabling, etc.) by approximately 8–10% for the same 53MW capacity. For the Shieli and Zhanakorgan projects, this means achieving the same installed capacity on a smaller land area—or installing more capacity on the same land—thereby improving capital efficiency from the very beginning.
II. High Heat, No Derating: Reliable Generation Even in Scorching Summers
The Shieli and Zhanakorgan regions are located in Kazakhstan’s interior, where summer temperatures often exceed 40°C. Thanks to an industry-leading temperature coefficient of just -0.26%/°C, the Tiger Neo 3.0 modules experience significantly lower power loss under high-temperature conditions compared to conventional products. Even during peak noon hours when sunlight is strongest and temperatures are highest, the modules maintain robust output—turning the region’s abundant solar resources into stable electricity revenue.
III. Power from Both Sides: Bifacial Gains Deliver Extra Yield
With a bifaciality factor of up to 90%, the Tiger Neo 3.0 modules can fully leverage the high-reflectance conditions typical of the Shieli and Zhanakorgan project sites—such as sandy soil and dry ground surfaces—to deliver an additional 5–10% power gain from the rear side. In addition, first-year degradation is below 1%, with annual linear degradation of only 0.35%, ensuring 30 years of stable operation under Kazakhstan’s continental climate. This combination of front-side efficiency and rear-side harvesting continuously amplifies the project’s life-cycle returns.
