UK-based helium exploration company Mendell Helium will lease a helium trailer from M3 Helium in the US to deliver product from its Kansas-based project, operated in partnership with M3 Helium, to a nearby offtaker.
A signed agreement has confirmed the lease of the 265 thousand cubic feet (mcf) trailer.
Mendell Helium recently completed drilling at M3 Helium’s Rost 1-26 well and the Rost twin well, which are owned by M3 Helium, in the Fort Dodge region of Kansas.
The company said the leased trailer is larger than the other options it explored, adding that it will make helium delivery and on-site storage more cost-effective and efficient than expected.
The trailer will operate alongside its existing 160 mcf trailer, taking its total delivery capacity to 425 mcf, in addition to fixed storage on the Rost site.

There is no certainty that the acquisition will go ahead. The companies have agreed to extend the option exercise deadline to the end of April 2026.
