Canadian green hydrogen producer Charbone has signed a three-year ultra-high purity (UHP) oxygen supply contract as part of its expansion into industrial gas production and distribution.
The agreement, signed with an unnamed US industrial client, follows an initial delivery of UHP oxygen and will support the customer’s operations in the US industrial sector.
Charbone said the deal marks a “significant commercial expansion” in the ‘Tech Valley’ area of New York State.
The company announced its into the industrial gas sector earlier this month (April 2026).
It plans to produce specialty gases such as helium, as well as atmospheric gases including oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and carbon dioxide, to grow and diversify its revenue streams.
It aims to support growth in key US industries, including healthcare, electronics, and technology.
Dave Gagnon, Charbone’s CEO and Chairman, said, “We are pursuing our goal of becoming a key player in UHP industrial gases in North America.”
Despite the expansion, the company has previously said ultra-high purity hydrogen distribution will remain its .
Charbone is developing a modular system to produce green hydrogen and supply helium across the North American market.
In December 2025, it produced its at its flagship Sorel-Tracy facility in Quebec.
