Iberdrola Earns Top Global Sustainability Recognition With Continued Inclusion In The Dow Jones Best-In-Class World And Europe Indices

Iberdrola has once again been recognised for its global leadership in sustainability, securing a place in both the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World (DJ BIC World) and Dow Jones Best-in-Class Europe (DJ BIC Europe) indices.

The company also remains the only European utility to have been included in every one of the 26 editions of the global index since its creation, underscoring a long-standing commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices. These indices select only the top 10% of companies from the 2,500 largest firms in the S&P Global BMI universe that demonstrate strong long-term performance across economic, environmental and social criteria.

Established in 1999, the Dow Jones Best-in-Class index family highlights leading performers in sustainability within each sector, using the results of the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) carried out by S&P Global. The indices are published in global, regional and national formats.

Iberdrola’s repeated inclusion reflects the resilience of its long-term strategic vision and its emphasis on value creation grounded in environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles. The group consistently submits its performance to review by international sustainability analysts and continues to rank among the strongest performers within the utilities sector.

These recognitions add to the company’s presence in several other major global sustainability benchmarks, including those maintained by MSCI, CDP, Sustainalytics, ISS ESG, EcoVadis, and S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook 2026.
