Pace Digitek Limited has achieved a major milestone in its battery energy storage business as its subsidiary Lineage Power Private Limited (LPPL) crossed the mark of manufacturing 300 utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) containers. The achievement represents nearly 1.5 GWh of battery energy storage capacity and highlights the company’s growing capabilities in the energy storage sector.
The company said the milestone reflects its efforts to expand its manufacturing operations and meet the increasing demand for battery storage solutions. Pace Digitek is currently strengthening its manufacturing capacity by expanding its existing 2.5 GWh BESS facility with an additional 2.5 GWh capacity. It is also setting up another 5 GWh BESS manufacturing facility along with an in-house container fabrication unit.
These expansion plans are aimed at increasing production scale, improving cost efficiency, enhancing backward integration and strengthening the company’s ability to execute large-scale energy storage projects. With these initiatives, Pace Digitek expects to build a stronger presence across the entire BESS value chain.
The company has developed an integrated battery energy storage platform that includes manufacturing, engineering, system integration, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), and long-term Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services. This integrated approach allows Pace Digitek to provide complete energy storage solutions, from manufacturing and installation to project management and lifecycle support.
Battery energy storage systems are becoming increasingly important as countries expand renewable energy generation. Storage solutions help manage power supply fluctuations, improve grid stability and support the integration of renewable sources such as solar and wind energy.
Pace Digitek said its growing capabilities will help address the requirements of utilities, renewable energy developers and commercial and industrial customers. The company is focusing on expanding its manufacturing strength and improving technology to support the rising demand for energy storage applications.
Commenting on the achievement, Venugopal Rao Maddisetty, Chairman and Managing Director of Pace Digitek Limited, said that crossing the 300-container manufacturing milestone is an important step in building an integrated battery energy storage business.
He added that the achievement demonstrates the company’s capabilities in manufacturing, engineering and project execution, enabling it to deliver end-to-end BESS solutions at scale. He further stated that the company will continue to expand manufacturing capacity, strengthen technology and improve execution capabilities to support customers across utility-scale and commercial energy storage projects.
