India Daily: RRECL Launches RE Monitoring Tool, CSPDCL Seeks ₹2.98/kWh BESS Tariff, GERC Advances GNA Regulations, CleanMax Plans ₹400 Cr NCDs and More…

Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) has launched a Distributed Renewable Energy Project Monitoring Tool to strengthen digital tracking of renewable energy projects across Rajasthan. The platform is aimed at improving project visibility, monitoring progress and creating a more structured mechanism for overseeing distributed renewable installations. Rajasthan requires renewable energy projects installed in the state to be registered with RRECL, making digital project management increasingly important as deployment scales. The initiative reflects the state’s broader push toward technology-enabled renewable energy administration and could support better coordination, transparency and implementation across Rajasthan’s rapidly expanding clean energy ecosystem.

Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL) has approached CSERC seeking approval for a ₹2.98/kWh tariff associated with its 125 MW/500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System project. The four-hour BESS is structured to provide 500 MWh of dispatchable capacity, with CSPDCL supplying the charging electricity and procuring the storage service. The project is designed for one complete charge-discharge cycle per day, with flexibility to schedule discharge across one or two sessions. The development represents a major step in Chhattisgarh’s adoption of utility-scale storage to support peak requirements and renewable energy integration.

The Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) has invited consultancy bids to support the finalisation of the state’s Intra-State General Network Access (GNA) Regulations, 2026. The proposed framework is expected to establish clearer rules governing access to Gujarat’s transmission network and align the state’s regulatory architecture with the evolving requirements of the electricity market. A well-defined GNA mechanism can facilitate more efficient network utilisation and provide greater clarity for generators, consumers and other grid users. The consultancy process represents an important step toward strengthening Gujarat’s transmission access framework as renewable generation and electricity demand continue to expand.

Adani Power has secured a CARE AA+ rating upgrade across rated facilities aggregating ₹90,500 crore, strengthening the company’s credit profile. The upgrade covers a substantial portfolio of financial facilities and reflects an improved assessment of the company’s ability to meet its debt obligations. Stronger credit ratings can support access to financing and potentially improve borrowing conditions as power companies invest in generation and associated infrastructure. For Adani Power, the rating action comes amid continued growth in India’s electricity requirements and highlights the importance of financial strength as major power-sector companies undertake large capital-intensive investments.

CleanMax has received in-principle approval to raise ₹400 crore through Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs), creating an additional financing avenue for the renewable energy company. Debt-market fundraising can provide clean energy developers with capital to support portfolio expansion, refinance existing obligations or meet broader corporate requirements as project pipelines grow. The development highlights the increasing role of structured debt financing in India’s renewable energy sector, where developers require substantial long-term capital to scale generation assets. The proposed NCD issuance also reflects continued financial-market engagement with established clean energy platforms as India accelerates renewable electricity deployment.
