Skymax Infrapower Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Odisha to establish a solar module and solar cell manufacturing facility in the state with a proposed investment of ₹5,000 crore.
The planned facility is expected to support the expansion of India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem and strengthen the country’s clean energy supply chain. The project will focus on the manufacturing of solar modules and cells, contributing to the growing demand for domestically produced renewable energy components.
Skymax Infrapower said the initiative is supported by Odisha’s industrial policy and is aligned with the state’s efforts to attract investments in emerging industries and renewable energy.
The proposed investment is also in line with the Make in India initiative and India’s broader clean energy objectives. The company said the project represents a step towards strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities, supporting energy self-reliance and accelerating the country’s transition towards a greener energy future.
