Why LNG is now a system anchor

In almost two decades of covering LNG markets, this feels like the most momentous year yet – both in terms of supply and demand developments but also in how LNG is viewed in the wider energy ecosystem. We’ve seen various hype cycles in that time, the relative boom and bust cycles, but I can’t recall a time when LNG was quite so structurally entrenched in the network.
