Cleantech Solar has commissioned 36 MWp of open access solar power projects for corporate customers across the automotive, industrial manufacturing, and engineering sectors in Tamil Nadu.
The projects have been developed within Cleantech Solar’s 200 MWp renewable energy park in Thoothukudi district and will supply clean electricity to customers on a captive basis to meet their manufacturing requirements.
The latest commissioning adds to Cleantech Solar’s existing renewable energy portfolio in Tamil Nadu. The company said the projects were completed ahead of schedule, reflecting its project execution capabilities and focus on delivering reliable renewable power solutions for commercial and industrial customers.
Electricity generated from the projects is being supplied under long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs), enabling participating customers to access renewable electricity while supporting their decarbonisation objectives.
Sanjay Gupta, Chief Executive Officer at Cleantech Solar, said the commissioning reflects continued demand from corporates for renewable energy solutions in Tamil Nadu. He added that the projects were delivered in record time while maintaining health and safety standards.
With the latest commissioning, Cleantech Solar continues to expand its C&I renewable energy portfolio in Tamil Nadu and across India and Southeast Asia, with projects spanning solar and wind hybrid generation.
