Gas control equipment firm GCE has opened a new customer experience centre in Faridabad, India, as the country increases investment in hospital infrastructure and medical oxygen systems.
The facility will provide healthcare providers, hospital engineers, installers, and distributors with demonstrations of medical gas technologies, alongside technical and regulatory support.
It comes as India’s government increased its spending by 67.7% to ₹4,770 crore ($~493m) in its 2026–27 budget, targeting improvements to critical care facilities, laboratories, and hospitals.
Medical oxygen infrastructure remains a focus for India following the Covid-19 pandemic, when the government invested heavily in hospital-based oxygen generation.
GCE’s new centre will showcase equipment for oxygen, medical air, and vacuum systems, alongside pipelines, manifolds, terminal units, alarms, and oxygen therapy devices.
It follows the company’s acquisition of Aktiv Technologies .
“The Faridabad centre brings GCE’s global engineering expertise closer to those customers, giving them an opportunity to explore the full medical gas system, discuss compliance requirements and plan for the long-term maintenance of critical infrastructure,” said GCE President Piyush Sheth.
The centre opening comes amid an expansion for the company. In June it opened a similar centre in Runcorn, UK, while it expects to open another site in Italy later this year.
