Ampotech And Buskowitz Energy Partner To Integrate Solar, Battery Storage And AI Energy Management In The Philippines

Ampotech and Buskowitz Energy have entered into a collaboration to provide integrated energy solutions for commercial and industrial customers in the Philippines, combining energy efficiency, rooftop solar power, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and artificial intelligence (AI)-powered energy management. The partnership aims to help businesses reduce energy costs, improve operational efficiency, and advance their sustainability goals through coordinated energy infrastructure and digital technologies.

Under the collaboration, Buskowitz Energy will contribute its expertise in renewable energy project development, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), power purchase agreements (PPAs), battery storage, and operations and maintenance (O&M). Ampotech will provide energy efficiency solutions and its AmpoCloud AI-powered energy management platform to help customers monitor and optimize energy consumption across their facilities.

The companies plan to identify commercial and industrial facilities that could benefit from a combination of energy efficiency measures, rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, and battery storage. By integrating these technologies, the partnership aims to help businesses improve energy performance beyond renewable electricity generation alone.

Ampotech and Buskowitz are currently working together on 3.3 MWp of solar projects through Ampotech’s engagement with companies operating within the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) economic zones. The projects are intended to support businesses seeking to manage rising electricity costs, increase renewable energy adoption, and improve operational efficiency.

Ampotech has been engaging with PEZA and its locator companies to demonstrate how digital energy solutions can support energy efficiency, environmental, social and governance (ESG) data management, and the integration of distributed energy resources, including solar PV and battery storage.

The companies are also discussing a separate proof of concept (POC) to deploy Ampotech’s distributed energy resource management application across Buskowitz Energy’s existing solar portfolio. The proposed initiative would examine how centralized digital monitoring and AI-driven analytics could improve visibility across distributed solar assets and support more efficient asset management.

William Temple, CEO and Co-Founder of Ampotech, said that maximizing the value of an energy system requires visibility and optimization across on-site generation, storage, and electricity demand. He added that the collaboration combines renewable energy deployment with energy efficiency and AI-driven management to help businesses reduce costs and improve sustainability.

James Buskowitz, CEO of Buskowitz Energy, said the company sees opportunities to use technology and data to strengthen the monitoring and management of its expanding solar portfolio. He noted that AI-powered analytics could complement existing capabilities and support more efficient operations.

The collaboration reflects a growing focus on integrated energy management among commercial and industrial facilities. By combining renewable generation, storage, efficiency measures, and digital intelligence, Ampotech and Buskowitz intend to develop solutions that improve energy performance and support the Philippines’ transition towards more sustainable energy systems.
