Juniper Green Energy has successfully commissioned its 100 MW solar power project in Rajasthan. This project marks the company’s first merchant solar plant and a major milestone in cross-border electricity trade. The project is set to supply 50% of its generated power to Bhutan during the winter months, under a bilateral trade agreement. This initiative will help meet Bhutan’s growing energy demands, especially when the country faces power shortages during winter.

The cross-border supply of electricity from India to Bhutan represents a significant step in regional energy cooperation. It shows the potential of South Asian countries to integrate their energy resources and work towards energy security and sustainability. The project also highlights the role renewable energy can play in strengthening ties between neighboring nations.

Juniper Green Energy’s CEO, Naresh Mansukhani, expressed his excitement about the development. He stated that this cross-border energy trade marks an important achievement for the company and demonstrates its dedication to regional energy cooperation. He also mentioned that this initiative supports regional energy security by supplying power to key sectors.

Ankush Malik, Chief Operating Officer of Juniper Green Energy, said the successful commissioning of the project shows their commitment to meeting both local and international energy needs. He emphasized that this cross-border transaction not only addresses energy demand but also promotes collaboration between countries while supporting sustainable development.

The project in Rajasthan contributes to Juniper Green Energy’s growing portfolio and highlights the increasing importance of renewable energy in regional power trade and sustainable development.
