ES Sunlogy Bhd has secured a contract worth RM34 million to develop a 29.99-megawatt alternating current (MWac) large-scale solar photovoltaic (LSSPV) system under Malaysia’s Corporate Green Power Programme.

The contract was awarded to SaveLite Engineering Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of ES Sunlogy, by Atlantic Blue Sdn Bhd. According to a bourse filing on Tuesday, SaveLite received the letter of award on March 8, following its issuance on February 28.

The solar project, known as the Selarong LSSPV plant, will be located at Lot 42, Padang China, Kulim, Kedah. Initial operations are set to begin on May 29, with full commercial operations targeted for June 30.

The RM34 million contract covers all associated costs, including labour, materials, transport, delivery, handling, packaging, taxes, and related charges for the project’s completion. Work will commence upon receipt of the letter of award, which will define both parties’ obligations until the execution of an engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) subcontract.

The contract scope includes procurement, construction, and commissioning of the solar facility, along with the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the interconnection facility and underground cable linking to Tenaga Nasional Bhd.

ES Sunlogy is engaged in high-tension and low-voltage electrical systems, extra-low-voltage systems, mechanical engineering for building services, and large-scale solar energy projects. The company currently manages 35 engineering projects with a total contract value of RM421.59 million, of which RM267.4 million remains unbilled.

SaveLite Engineering, based in Malaysia, is involved in electrical contracts, general trading, property dealings, and investments, while Atlantic Blue specialises in EPCC services for photovoltaic systems and solar plant investments.

As of Tuesday, ES Sunlogy’s shares fell by one sen, or 3.9%, to 24.5 sen, bringing its market capitalisation to RM171.5 million.
