Boviet Solar Technology Co. Ltd. (Boviet Solar), a leading solar energy technology company specializing in monocrystalline PV cells and high-performance PV modules, has announced the grand opening of its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina.

The $294 million investment will establish a state-of-the-art production plant utilizing advanced N-Type solar cell technology to manufacture Gamma Series Monofacial and Vega Series Bifacial PV modules. The facility will cater to residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale applications.

Phase 1 of the factory is set to commence PV module production in the first quarter of 2025, with an annual output capacity of 2 gigawatts. The second phase, which includes a 600,000-square-foot PV cell factory, is scheduled to begin operations in the second half of 2026.

Boviet Solar will officially inaugurate the Greenville facility with a grand opening ceremony on April 24, 2025. The event will include a networking breakfast, an opening ceremony, a ribbon-cutting session, guided tours, and speeches from company executives, local government officials, and industry leaders.

“The launch of the Boviet Solar Greenville Factory marks a major milestone in our North American expansion and reinforces our commitment to advancing renewable energy in the U.S.,” said Sienna Cen, president of Boviet Solar USA. She highlighted that the facility is expected to generate approximately 908 skilled jobs, boosting economic growth and supporting clean energy initiatives in the region.

Marco Marques, general manager of the Greenville facility, emphasized the company’s long-term commitment to the U.S. market. “This new facility strengthens our ability to provide high-quality solar modules to North American partners while supporting the transition to a clean energy future with American-made solar products,” he stated.

Boviet Solar has built a strong reputation in the industry, consistently recognized for its financial strength, manufacturing excellence, and high-performance PV modules. The company has been ranked as a BNEF Tier 1 PV module manufacturer since 2017 and has received accolades from Wood Mackenzie and Sinovoltaics for its financial stability and product reliability. Its PV modules have also been rated as top performers on PVEL Kiwa’s PV Module Reliability Scorecard since 2019.

With this expansion, Boviet Solar aims to enhance its U.S. manufacturing capabilities, strengthen local partnerships, and contribute to the nation’s clean energy transition.
