Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has taken another step in strengthening its renewable energy portfolio by incorporating a new step-down subsidiary named Adani Ecogen Seven Limited (AE7L). The company informed both BSE and the National Stock Exchange on January 7, 2026, after receiving the Certificate of Incorporation from the authorities.
The new subsidiary, AE7L, was officially registered on January 2, 2026, in the state of Gujarat. It is fully owned by Adani Renewable Energy Holding Eleven Limited (AREH11L), which itself is entirely owned by AGEL. This means AE7L is a step-down subsidiary with 100% of its share capital held through AREH11L. The company has been formed with an authorized and paid-up capital of ₹1,00,000.
AGEL stated in its regulatory filing that AE7L has not yet begun business operations and currently has zero turnover. However, the purpose behind establishing the subsidiary is clear. AE7L’s main objective is to focus on the generation, development, and distribution of power from renewable sources such as wind and solar energy. This aligns directly with AGEL’s long-term renewable energy growth strategy and its mission to expand clean energy capacity across India.
The company further clarified that the incorporation of AE7L complies with SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015. AGEL also confirmed that the creation of this subsidiary does not fall under related party transactions, and there is no prior interest from the promoter group in the new entity.
This development highlights AGEL’s continued efforts to scale its renewable energy structure through well-planned corporate expansion. The regulatory filing was signed and submitted by Pragnesh Darji, Company Secretary of Adani Green Energy Limited.
