Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has announced the formation of a new step-down subsidiary, Adani Green Energy Sixty Eight Limited (AGE68L), to strengthen its renewable energy portfolio. The subsidiary has been established under Adani Renewable Energy Holding Nine Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AGEL.

AGE68L is focused on producing and distributing energy from renewable sources, including wind and solar power. The entity has been registered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and while it has not commenced operations yet, it is set to play a significant role in expanding AGEL’s footprint in the clean energy sector.

With an authorized and paid-up capital of ₹1,00,000, AGE68L is entirely owned by Adani Renewable Energy Holding Nine Limited, signifying complete control and ownership by AGEL. Although operational turnover is yet to begin, the creation of AGE68L underscores AGEL’s commitment to renewable energy and its strategy to explore new opportunities in this sector.

In an exchange filing, AGEL highlighted that AGE68L’s primary objective is to generate, distribute, transmit, and supply energy derived from renewable sources such as wind and solar power. The initiative aligns with AGEL’s broader vision of advancing clean energy solutions in India.

The announcement marks a pivotal step in AGEL’s mission to accelerate renewable energy development and underscores its dedication to sustainable energy practices. Further details regarding specific projects or operational timelines for AGE68L are yet to be disclosed.
