Aeromine Technologies Appoints Mark Swanson As New CEO To Lead The Future Of Clean Energy

Aeromine Technologies, the company behind an innovative rooftop wind energy system that converts wind flow into renewable energy, has announced that Mark Swanson is joining as its new CEO. Swanson brings 30 years of leadership experience, including 12 years in the rooftop solar industry, where he has excelled in manufacturing, scaling operations, and driving customer-focused growth.

A seasoned executive, Swanson is known for his passion for process improvement, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. He has successfully led and expanded several businesses in the competitive solar industry, delivering innovative solutions and services to both residential and commercial customers.

Martin Manniche, co-founder and chairman at Aeromine, mentioned “Paired with decades of experience in the renewable energy industry, Mark’s exceptional background in scaling businesses and operational strategy makes him the ideal leader for Aeromine as we start to prepare our onsite wind harvesting units for widespread commercial use. His deep expertise in the onsite solar industry, from site selection to manufacturing and sales, will be extremely valuable to clients who are looking to meet ESG and carbon-neutral goals, increase energy independence, and enhance resiliency.”

Mr. Swanson stated, “The Aeromine team has developed a breakthrough solution that promises to usher in a global distributed wind generation market. The company’s simple, low-cost approach resolves the barriers which have thus far prevented widespread adoption of distributed wind generation. I am looking forward to working with the Aeromine team to bring this technology to market at scale so that we can provide a meaningful contribution to accelerating the adoption of renewable energy.”

Aeromine has received over 13,000 inquiries from customers and is now collaborating with some of the world’s biggest and most forward-thinking companies to plan their first commercial Aeromine installations. As CEO, Swanson will lead the company through a critical phase, transitioning from low-volume manufacturing and pilot projects to large-scale production and widespread commercial use. He will be based in California.

Before joining Aeromine, Swanson was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Complete Solaria, where he managed all aspects of the company’s operations, including engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning. He also served as COO and general manager of EPC at Borrego Solar Systems. There, he grew Borrego’s EPC division to become the largest in the U.S. for commercial and industrial projects, completing over 1 GW of solar projects nationwide.

Swanson played a key role in forming strategic partnerships, driving business development, and enhancing customer retention, which led to a significant increase in revenue and market share. Additionally, he was Vice President at SunPower, overseeing global solar module manufacturing and system supply operations. Swanson has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
