AIKO Receives Best in Product Technology at SolarQuarter Customer’s Choice Awards 2025

AIKO, a global leader in solar energy innovation, has been recognized with the “Best in Product Technology” award at the SolarQuarter Customer’s Choice Awards 2025 – South Africa, held during the Solar & Storage Live Africa event in Johannesburg. The prestigious accolade was presented to E. Ulrich Dedo – Business Director DG & CI for MEA Region and his team, in celebration of AIKO’s groundbreaking achievements in photovoltaic (PV) technology.

The SolarQuarter Customer’s Choice Awards shine a spotlight on companies delivering exceptional performance, innovation, and customer satisfaction in the solar energy sector. AIKO’s win in the technology category affirms its position as a driving force in advancing solar module design and functionality across global markets.

For over 16 years, AIKO has remained at the forefront of new energy technology through relentless research and development. Its high-performance PV module lines—including the ‘Stellar’ Series for utility-scale projects, ‘Comet’ Series for commercial and industrial applications, and ‘Neostar’ Series for residential use—address diverse customer needs with unmatched efficiency and aesthetics.

At the core of this recognition lies the AIKO N-Type ABC module, which has set new global benchmarks in the solar industry. Ranked first for two consecutive years on the TaiyangNews Global Module Mass Production Efficiency List, these modules recently achieved an industry-leading 24.6% delivery efficiency. Their technical superiority is evident in performance under partial shading, micro-crack resistance, and high-temperature environments, delivering consistently reliable power output and significantly reduced risk of heat-related failures.

AIKO’s advanced technology allows for up to 30% lower heat buildup than conventional IOPCon modules, enhancing safety and operational stability. With features such as optimized temperature coefficients and robust design, AIKO’s modules offer long-term value across residential, commercial, and utility sectors.

“As we continue to drive the global shift toward zero-carbon energy, this award reaffirms our commitment to delivering cutting-edge, customer-centric solutions,” said E. Ulrich Dedo. “We are proud to contribute to the energy transition in South Africa and beyond.”
