Industrial gas giant Air Liquide has signed an agreement to acquire Indian industrial gas producer and supplier NovaAir as part of its growth strategy in India.
NovaAir is present in the east and south of India. The company is a full-service industrial gases business, supplying bulk industrial gases, specialty gases, and providing onsite services and engineering, procurement, and construction services.
The expansion of geographical reach is expected to strengthen Air Liquide’s position in the industrial merchant market and enhance its ability to serve customers in the automotive, metals, electronics, and healthcare sectors.
Emilie Mouren-Renouard, a member of Air Liquide’s Executive Committee supervising activities in India, said the acquisition represents a new step in the company’s development in India.
