Air Products has talked more about a just-announced specialty gas facility it is .
The industrial gas major presented its second-quarter results on an earnings call today and in the question-and-answers segment CEO Eduardo Menezes said more about the scale of the planned facility, which will supply nitrogen, oxygen, argon and hydrogen to Samsung for a new wave of advanced semiconductor fabs.
The new facilities, in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province in South Korea, are expected to come on stream in multiple phases from 2028 to 2030. Menezes was asked about the scale of the project and whether it is Air Products’ biggest ever, in the context of a plant the company has previously worked on for the chipmaker TSMC that had an .
“Air Products was the first [specialty gas] supplier for the site,” said Menezes. “This [new phased series of projects] is the fifth phase of the site,” he added.
