AISWEI, Parent Company of Solplanet, Tops Global Residential Inverter Shipments and Secures 6th Position Overall in 2024 Rankings

Wood Mackenzie, a globally recognized research institution for energy and natural resource markets, has officially released the 2024 Global PV Inverter Shipment Rankings. AISWEI, Solplanet’s parent company, secured sixth position in total global shipments, achieving the highest year-on-year growth among the top ten manufacturers at 28% – well above the global market growth rate of 10% – reaffirming its strong market momentum.

Leveraging its long-term expertise in the residential segment, AISWEI claimed the top spot in global residential string inverter shipments. In the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment, the company advanced into the top tier, reaching third place. AISWEI also ranked third in total PV inverter shipments in China while continuing to expand in international markets.

Operating under the Solplanet brand outside China, AISWEI has accelerated its global presence, building partnerships in established energy markets such as Europe and Australia, and growing rapidly in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and other emerging regions. In 2024, Solplanet ranked among the top five in Latin America and the Caribbean, with notable growth in Brazil, and strengthened its position in Europe with a portfolio including residential hybrid and C&I three-phase inverters. This multi-regional reach and diversified application portfolio demonstrate the company’s ability to meet diverse customer needs in different market conditions.

“Our strong performance in the Wood Mackenzie rankings reflects not only our growth in shipments but also the trust that customers place in our technology,” said Dr. Zhang Yong, President of AISWEI. “By combining our engineering expertise with close local partnerships, we aim to deliver reliable, easy-to-install solutions that help accelerate the adoption of solar energy worldwide.”

AISWEI, formerly known as SMA’s Chinese subsidiary, is a high-tech enterprise specializing in developing and manufacturing solar solutions, including inverters, energy storage systems, EV chargers, and AI-driven smart energy management systems. With four R&D centers in Suzhou, Shanghai, Xi’an, and Cologne, and a manufacturing hub in Yangzhong, the company continues to invest in innovation and strengthen its service networks to ensure reliability and accessibility for customers worldwide.

With rising demand for renewable energy and storage solutions, AISWEI and Solplanet are committed to supporting installers, distributors, and EPCs with high-quality products, accessible service networks, and a deep understanding of local market requirements.
