All change at Air Products: The rise of Menezes

The appointment by Air Products of former Linde executive Eduardo Menezes as CEO marks a notable change of direction for the industrial gas major. Here’s more on Menezes and on how was he was confirmed as CEO of Air Products.

Menezes assuming the top job follows a boardroom shake-up at Air Products that has been driven by pressure from long-term activist investors including DE Shaw, but in particular Mantle Ridge.

Recently Mantle Ridge and its founder Paul Hilal built and shared online a substantial portfolio of materials arguing of the need for change at Air Products, in which it holds a stake worth $1.3bn.
