Ameren Missouri has brought 500 megawatts (MW) of new solar capacity online with a $950 million investment. The three facilities—the 200-MW Huck Finn Renewable Energy Center, 150-MW Boomtown Renewable Energy Center, and 150-MW Cass County Renewable Energy Center—will collectively generate enough energy to power 92,000 homes annually.

The Cass County and Boomtown facilities will support Ameren Missouri’s Renewable Solutions program, enabling Missouri organizations to expand their renewable energy usage and earn energy credits. Additionally, Ameren is advancing its energy reliability plans with the Castle Bluff Energy Center, an 800-MW natural gas facility set to launch in 2027, representing a $900 million investment. “We are transforming the energy grid to enhance reliability and resiliency for customers as well as provide cleaner energy to our communities,” said Mark Birk, chairman and president of Ameren Missouri, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation. “Customers depend on Ameren Missouri to continue investing in new sources of generation to ensure reliability and serve customers for decades to come.”
