Ameresco Signs Agreement Renewal With Government Of Nunavut To Drive Greater Resource Visibility And Efficiency Across The Region

Ameresco, Inc., a leading provider of energy and sustainability solutions, has announced the renewal of its long-standing contract with the Government of Nunavut for its enterprise asset management platform and related professional services. This renewed agreement continues a partnership that began in 2014 and supports the effective management of a vast portfolio of assets spread across Nunavut’s nearly 2 million square kilometers of Arctic territory.

Through this contract, the Government of Nunavut will continue using Ameresco’s AssetPlanner® platform, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution that supports the management of more than 1,200 buildings and over 2,500 vehicle and equipment assets. The platform allows Nunavut’s staff to efficiently manage their geographically dispersed portfolio, ensuring better planning, budgeting, and maintenance decision-making for critical infrastructure across the territory.

Ameresco’s AssetPlanner® software is designed to deliver actionable insights for asset, energy, and facility management. By combining the software with strategic advisory services, Ameresco helps organizations make data-informed decisions to prioritize investments, reduce energy use, and manage long-term asset performance. The platform currently tracks more than 3 billion square feet of real estate data and is widely used to support energy efficiency and carbon reduction initiatives.

Paul Diamond, Director, Facility Management at Government of Nunavut, stated, “Our previously disparate data is captured within a single system, enabling data-informed reporting, analysis, and prioritization. This renewal and continued investment in the AssetPlanner system and Ameresco’s advisory services will continue to provide us with critical tools to support the capital planning, tactical maintenance management, and proactive energy management of our vast portfolio.”

Tim Dettlaff, Senior Vice President, and General Manager, Ameresco, mentioned, “We’ve been honored to partner with the Government of Nunavut to help them address their asset management needs to drive operational resilience. This renewed engagement will continue to provide their staff with industry-leading tools to manage their vast asset inventory and enable informed decision making to help measure risk, reliability, and resiliency across their expansive portfolio.”

As part of the renewed contract, Ameresco will also provide professional advisory services, including comprehensive virtual and on-site training and technical support. These services are tailored to ensure that Nunavut’s staff can maximize the benefits of the AssetPlanner® system in their day-to-day operations.

By extending this partnership, Ameresco continues to support the Government of Nunavut in achieving improved asset performance, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. The collaboration demonstrates Ameresco’s ongoing commitment to helping clients navigate the energy transition through technology, expertise, and reliable service delivery.
