Energy storage startup AmpereHour Energy has raised $5 million (approximately ₹43.6 crore) in a funding round led by Avaana Capital, with participation from UC Impower and existing angel investors. This latest investment follows the company’s earlier funding round, where it secured $2.45 million from AngelList and other investors.

The fresh capital will be utilized to strengthen manufacturing and software capabilities, boost research and development efforts, and accelerate product innovation. Founded in 2017 by Ayush Misra, Rahul Shelke, Harshal Thakur, and Neehar Jathar, AmpereHour Energy specializes in battery energy storage systems designed for power infrastructure and businesses requiring efficient electricity management.

The company’s proprietary Elina energy management software enhances battery performance for applications such as renewable energy integration, backup power, and grid stability. AmpereHour Energy has deployed projects at over 50 locations, catering to major clients including Amazon, Siemens, Coca-Cola, and Indigrid.

Currently, the company is working on commissioning approximately 50 megawatt-hours (MWh) of energy storage capacity, with plans to scale up to 1 gigawatt-hour (GWh) within the next 18 months. Additionally, AmpereHour is expanding its international footprint, with ongoing projects in Oman and Nigeria and new ventures in Belgium and the UAE under commissioning.
