AMPIN Energy Transition has commissioned a 45 MWp solar power project in Odisha at Patnagarh, marking its second consecutive group captive commercial and industrial (C&I) open access project under the OREP-22 scheme. The project reflects a key milestone in the state’s renewable energy progress, with AMPIN playing a role from early policy development to final implementation.

The company executed the project on a turnkey basis, handling everything from land acquisition to construction and commissioning. The plant is connected to the grid through the LILO (Line-In-Line-Out) system, ensuring efficient power evacuation and supply.

The solar project is supplying clean electricity to several major corporate consumers, including Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Limited, Parle Products Pvt. Ltd, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Bhubaneswar, Arya Iron and Steel Company Private Limited, and Shree Ganesh Metaliks Ltd. These companies are now replacing around 50 percent of their conventional grid power with renewable energy.

This shift is helping them achieve cost savings of around 25 to 30 percent, while also ensuring a stable and sustainable energy supply. In addition, the project is expected to reduce approximately 57 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually, which is comparable to planting nearly 27 lakh trees every year.

AMPIN is further expanding its footprint in Odisha, with another 45 MWp currently under construction and a 50 MWp pipeline planned. With this, the company is working towards building a total portfolio of around 200 MWp in the state, supported by favorable policies and a growing renewable energy ecosystem.
