ARESCA wants input on offshore wind standards

The American Renewable Energy Standards and Certification Association (ARESCA) is calling for experts who are directly and materially affected parties who are interested in participating as a member of an American National Standards (ANS) consensus body, known as the ARESCA Standards Committee of the Board (SCB), to support the adoption of the following IEC TC 114 and TC 88 standards as ANS:

  • ARESCA 62600-100-202x, Marine energy – Wave, tidal and other water current converters – Part 100: Electricity producing wave energy converters – Power performance assessment (identical national adoption of IEC TS 62600-100:2024)
  • ARESCA 62600-101-202x, Marine energy – Wave, tidal and other water current converters – Part 101: Wave energy resource assessment and characterization (identical national adoption of IEC TS 62600-101:2024)
  • ARESCA 62600-103-202x, Marine energy – Wave, tidal and other water current converters – Part 103: Guidelines for the early stage development of wave energy converters – Best practices and recommended procedures for the testing of pre-prototype devices (identical national adoption of IEC TS 62600-103:2024)
  • ARESCA 62600-200-202x, Marine energy – Wave, tidal and other water current converters – Part 200: Electricity producing tidal energy converters – Power performance assessment (identical national adoption of IEC TS 62600-200:2025)
  • ARESCA 62600-201-202x, Marine energy – Wave, tidal and other water current converters – Part 201: Tidal energy resource assessment and characterization (identical national adoption of IEC TS 62600-201:2025)
