BELECTRIC Appoints Daniel Kiremidjian as CEO of UK Business to Drive Solar and Battery Storage Growth

BELECTRIC, a member of the Elevion Group, has appointed Daniel Kiremidjian as the new Chief Executive Officer of BELECTRIC UK, strengthening its leadership as the company expands its solar and battery energy storage portfolio in the United Kingdom.

Based in Brinkworth, BELECTRIC UK develops, constructs and maintains large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) plants and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across the country, with installations spanning from Cornwall to Scotland.

In his new role, Kiremidjian will oversee the company’s UK operations, including the engineering, construction, operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar farms and battery storage projects.

Prior to joining BELECTRIC, Kiremidjian led development and commercial teams across the United Kingdom, Sweden and Finland, bringing extensive experience in the renewable energy and battery storage sectors.

“Daniel has a proven track record in the renewable energy and battery storage sectors, as well as in-depth market knowledge,” said Dr. Thorsten Blanke, Chief Executive Officer of BELECTRIC. “We are very pleased to welcome him to our company and are confident he will strengthen our position in the UK market.”

Commenting on his appointment, Kiremidjian said he is joining the company at a pivotal time as the UK accelerates its transition towards net-zero emissions.

“Now is the time to deliver the next generation of solar and battery projects. BELECTRIC, with its vast experience, is strongly placed to be a major player in this urgent effort,” he said.

As part of the leadership transition, former Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director Alastair Bruce has departed the company. Mariglen Nora, a member of the BELECTRIC board, has been appointed as the new Managing Director of BELECTRIC UK.
