Asia-Pacific, APAC for short, is a vast and populous region that is developing rapidly. It is home to more than 4.3 billion people today – about 60% of the world’s total population.

APAC is a central player in the global industrial gases market, both in terms of demand and future growth potential.

It accounts for the largest share of global industrial gas consumption, driven by its vast industrial base, rapid urbanisation, and continued infrastructure expansion. Countries like China, India, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asian nations are key contributors, each at different stages of industrial maturity.

China alone represents a significant portion of global demand due to its enormous steel, electronics, chemical, and manufacturing sectors. India, for its part, is quickly catching up, propelled by strong growth in sectors like healthcare, refining, automotive, and clean energy.
