BlueWave CEO Sean Finnerty

BlueWave, a prominent solar and energy storage developer, owner, and operator in the Northeastern United States, has announced the appointment of Sean Finnerty as its new Chief Executive Officer. Finnerty will also join the company’s Board of Directors.

Finnerty brings a wealth of experience in the renewable energy sector, having developed, built, and operated a wide range of clean energy assets throughout his career. As CEO, he will be tasked with steering BlueWave’s long-term strategic growth while staying true to the company’s mission-driven foundation.

In his new role, Finnerty will work closely with BlueWave’s Board of Directors and management team to strengthen operational excellence, enhance performance, and chart a clear strategic direction for the company’s future.

“BlueWave has established itself as a flourishing business built with vision and dedication to developing a more resilient clean energy future for all,” said Finnerty. “The company is at a pivotal inflection point as it expands and commercializes its portfolio of agrivoltaics, community solar, and battery storage projects. I’m proud to be joining this industry-leading team and to build upon this legacy, bringing BlueWave into its next chapter of growth and innovation.”

As BlueWave continues to scale its clean energy initiatives across agrivoltaics, community solar, and battery storage, Finnerty’s leadership is expected to accelerate the company’s impact in building a more resilient and sustainable energy future.
