California Threatens to Sue Trump Administration Over Offshore Wind Cancellation

June 23 (Reuters) – California Attorney General Rob Bonta sent a notice ‌of intent to sue the Trump administration over its deal earlier this year ⁠to cancel an offshore wind lease.

The notice relates a $120 million reimbursement by the federal government to Golden State Wind LLC, a joint ‌venture ⁠between Ocean Winds and London-based offshore wind investment firm Reventus Power. ⁠Ocean Winds is a partnership between France’s ENGIE (ENGIE.PA) ⁠Portugal’s EDP Renewables (EDPR.LS).
