US industrial, medical, and specialty gas distributor Airgas, an Air Liquide company, has been awarded for its safe facility performance by the Compressed Gas Association (CGA).
The CGA Safe Facility Performance Awards recognised two Airgas sites, Laporte, Texas and Cambridge, Maryland, for 50 years of incident-free operations.
Overall, 181 Airgas sites were recognised for operations without a single lost-time injury, ranging from five up to 35 years.
Since 2020, Airgas and Air Liquide facilities have received around one-third of CGA Safe Facility Performance Awards.
The CGA is an industry authority on safety standards for industrial, medical, food, and specialty gases and equipment. The organisation supports members that contribute more than $10bn to the US economy.
