Chart completes European liquefied biogas refuelling station

Chart Industries has completed the largest liquefied biogas refuelling station in continental Europe.

Located in Kallhäll, just outside Stockholm in Sweden, the station was engineered and built at Chart’s European technology centre in Děčín in the Czech Republic.

Designed to meet the demands of increased traffic of natural gas fuelled heavy-duty transport across the region, the station features four LBG (liquid biogas) and two CBG (compressed biogas) dispensers, along with cryogenic tanks with a total liquid storage capacity of 130 cubic metres.

Modular construction maximises the factory build, which reduces cost, scheduling and more, minimising time at site for installation and commissioning,. It also provides a replicable model for further stations and capacity expansions.
