DEWA and ABB Explore Synergies in Smart Grid and Energy Management

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and senior officials from ABB Smart Power Division have discussed potential collaborations in smart grid automation, predictive maintenance, and energy management systems during a key meeting in Dubai.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, hosted ABB Smart Power Division President Massimiliano Cifalitti and his delegation at DEWA’s headquarters. The meeting marked a significant step toward strengthening cooperation to drive digital transformation and smart energy advancements in the emirate.

According to a statement from DEWA, the discussions focused on integrating cutting-edge solutions such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to enhance Dubai’s intelligent and sustainable energy ecosystem.

Al Tayer emphasized DEWA’s commitment to developing world-class electricity and water infrastructure in line with international standards. He reaffirmed the authority’s dedication to leading the clean energy transition by fostering global collaborations and adopting next-generation solutions.

Cifalitti reiterated ABB’s strong commitment to supporting DEWA’s innovation-driven projects and contributing to Dubai’s long-term sustainability goals.
