GoldenPeaks Capital (GPC) has made Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) a key focus of its investment strategy, with its first projects already underway in Poland. As one of Europe’s fastest-growing independent green power producers and a major solar PV system owner in Poland and Hungary, GPC is now strengthening its position by adding BESS to its core investments.

GPC recently secured its first Capacity Market auction contract in Poland, adding 280 MWh of BESS to its portfolio with a €100 million investment. This marks a significant step in its goal to lead the BESS sector and expand clean, flexible energy solutions across Europe. Following extensive battery testing at its existing sites, GPC has set an ambitious target for 2025—to expand its portfolio to 600 MWh of ready-to-build BESS capacity, starting in Poland and then reaching other European markets.

Adriano Agosti, founder and chairman of GoldenPeaks Capital stated, “Battery Energy Storage Systems will be a critical factor for renewable energy in general and a main pillar of GPC’s investment strategy. We are at the forefront of this technology and have built a team of excellence over the past 18 months that will enable the fast execution of numerous BESS projects, first in Poland and then across Europe.”

GPC is set to lead the deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Europe, thanks to its expert team, efficient operations, and strong financial resources. The company’s commitment is evident in securing its first major Capacity Market Contracts in Poland. GPC’s BESS technology helps stabilize the electricity grid by managing fluctuations in power supply and demand.

These systems play a key role in clean energy efforts by balancing the variability of renewable energy sources and supporting the transition away from aging coal and gas plants. By combining its BESS assets with its existing solar PV portfolio, GPC ensures a more stable and sustainable energy supply, driving the shift toward a cleaner future.
