Iberdrola increased global electricity distribution by 6% to 188,753 GWh in the first nine months of 2025, driven by strong growth in the UK (+43%, including Electricity North West) and Spain (+3%), according to its report to the CNMV.

Rising demand and electrification also supported a 5% increase in global power generation to 96,047 GWh, with notable gains in Iberdrola Energía Internacional (+15%), Spain (+5%), and Brazil (+3%). In the third quarter alone, UK generation rose 9%. Offshore wind output grew 33%, led by projects in the UK, Germany, France, and the US, while solar generation rose 41%, boosted by plants in Spain, the UK, the US, and other EU markets such as Portugal and Italy.

As of September 2025, Iberdrola’s installed capacity reached 57,453 MW, with over 40% from wind (onshore and offshore), 22% from hydro, and 15% from solar. Battery storage capacity rose sharply to 503 MW (+154%), driven by projects in Australia, Spain, and the UK.

Capacity expanded across most key markets: 32,125 MW in Spain, 10,581 MW in the US, 4,167 MW in Brazil, 3,158 MW in the UK, and 4,823 MW across other countries including Australia, Germany, Italy, and Portugal.

Emissions intensity improved to 57 grams of CO2 per kilowatt-hour, down from 63 g/kWh a year earlier. Clean energy sources now account for 86% of total generation and 84% of installed capacity.
