India stands at the forefront of the world’s most ambitious clean energy transformation—one that is set to shape not only its own economic future but also the broader global climate narrative. As the nation works toward achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, net-zero emissions by 2070, and a resilient, digital, and inclusive energy ecosystem, Bharat Electricity, POWERGEN India, and Indian Utility Week 2025 have emerged as pivotal platforms for the power and utilities sector. These events, scheduled from 2nd to 4th September 2025 at Yashobhoomi, IICC, Dwarka, New Delhi, represent India’s premier energy business forums, strategically positioned to align national policy, technological innovation, and global investment flows.

Guided by the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, India has introduced landmark reforms such as the National Green Hydrogen Mission, Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), Energy Storage Viability Gap Funding, and the Electricity (Amendment) Bill. These initiatives collectively aim to accelerate the Viksit Bharat vision and redefine the country’s energy landscape.

Mr. Abhishek Bhatnagar, Director General, ENCIS (The Energy & Climate Initiatives Society), said in a statement, “Energy is no longer just an enabler of growth, it is the foundation of sovereignty, sustainability, and social equity. Under the transformative vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, India is rewriting the global energy playbook by proving that economic growth and climate responsibility can coexist. Bharat Electricity, POWERGEN India & Indian Utility Week is more than an event, it is the crucible where ideas become policy, policy becomes action, and action becomes impact. It is here that we design the blueprint for an energy ecosystem that is green, inclusive, and globally competitive. The choices we make today will define not just India’s energy future, but the future of energy for the world.”

The upcoming edition of Bharat Electricity, POWERGEN India & Indian Utility Week 2025 plays a key role in operationalizing these reforms by convening over 10,000 stakeholders from government bodies, industry leaders, and global markets. More than 120 policymakers, regulators, and thought leaders will engage in high-level dialogues, while 250+ exhibitors will showcase innovations spanning clean energy, digital grids, hydrogen, storage, and emerging technologies across a massive 12,500 square metre exhibition space.

The event will host a series of strategic sessions covering the 2047 Energy Outlook, international collaborations, the future of power markets, nuclear energy advancements, and technical forums focused on renewables integration, grid flexibility, and consumer-centric models. As part of the world’s largest series of energy events, this year’s edition goes beyond discussion, it aims to catalyse cross-border technological partnerships, attract capital for India’s energy transition, and foster stronger alignment between policy and industry. Altogether, the event will be a vital enabler of India’s green energy ambitions and strengthen its position as a global clean energy leader.
