India quantum push should drive demand for helium and nitrogen

India’s new ‘quantum valley’ could spark domestic demand for cryogenic gases as diversified industrial business Amber Enterprises plans to build a dedicated cooling components facility at the site in Amaravati.

The $23m facility will produce components for quantum cooling and cryogenic systems. It aims to reduce reliance on imported cryogenic hardware and quantum equipment.

It is likely to create a potential new demand centre for helium and nitrogen – gases essential for cooling processes.

“This proposed project will play a crucial role in strengthening India’s indigenous quantum hardware ecosystem by facilitating the development of advanced cryogenic solutions,” said Jasbir Singh, Chairman and CEO of Amber Enterprises.
