Indian Green Energy Stocks Witness Mixed Trading Amid Market Weakness (07 September 2026)

Indian green energy and electric mobility stocks witnessed mixed trading on September 7, 2026, as broader market sentiment remained cautious. The benchmark indices ended lower, with the S&P BSE SENSEX declining 0.50% to 76,132.81, while the NIFTY 50 fell 0.57% to close at 23,760.30.

Despite the weak market trend, several clean energy stocks recorded strong gains. Kabra Extrusion emerged as the biggest gainer in the sector. Its stock jumped 10.38% on the BSE to Rs 639.95 and rose 8.54% on the NSE to Rs 628.60.

Insolation Energy also performed well, gaining 3.00% on the BSE to Rs 92.99 and 2.96% on the NSE to Rs 92.91. Solar manufacturer Borosil Renewables advanced nearly 3% on the BSE to close at Rs 514.00. Inox Wind also gained more than 1% across both exchanges, settling at around Rs 75.50.

Other stocks that ended with modest gains included Praj Industries, Exide Industries, Websol Energy, and Larsen & Toubro. Their gains ranged between 0.15% and 0.94%.

However, several major renewable energy and battery companies faced selling pressure. Amara Raja Energy & Mobility declined more than 2.3%, closing at Rs 844.00 on the BSE and Rs 842.50 on the NSE. EKI Energy Services was also among the key losers.

Adani Green Energy fell more than 1% to Rs 1,288.95, while Tata Power declined 0.82% to Rs 365.00 on both exchanges. Reliance Industries slipped around 1% to nearly Rs 1,308.00. JSW Energy dropped close to 1.9% to Rs 529.50, while NTPC Green Energy declined more than 1% to Rs 88.13 on the NSE.

Electric mobility stocks also remained under pressure. Olectra Greentech fell over 1.4% to around Rs 1,208.00. In contrast, GAIL gained 1.33% to Rs 175.60.

Juniper Green Energy showed a notable difference between exchanges, falling 2.02% on the BSE to Rs 259.55 but gaining 2.28% on the NSE to Rs 265.10. Overall, the session highlighted selective buying and selling across India’s renewable energy and electric mobility stocks.
