The nitrogen will be produced at an air separation unit that INOX AP plans to build at the facility, which is owned by ReNew Photovoltaics.
The gas is used in PV cell production to create an inert atmosphere that prevents oxidation and contamination during manufacturing.
“Our investment in the new ASU at Dholera reflects our confidence in India’s potential to emerge as a global hub for sustainable and advanced manufacturing,” said Diganta Sarma, Head of Business Development & Strategy at INOX AP.
The facility is expected to begin operations by the end of 2026.
