KEC International, a global infrastructure EPC major, has announced securing new orders worth Rs12.4 billion ($145 million) for transmission and distribution (T&D) projects across India and the Middle East.
The company revealed that the latest contracts include the laying of transmission lines and substations in the UAE and Kuwait, further strengthening its presence in the region. Additionally, KEC International has secured orders for the supply of various types of cables in India and international markets.
In the domestic market, the company has also bagged an order for a residential project from a leading private developer in Western India, marking an expansion of its civil business in the real estate sector.
Commenting on the development, KEC International’s Managing Director and CEO, Vimal Kejriwal, stated:
“We are delighted with the new order wins, especially the substation orders in both Indian and international markets. The order in the UAE has significantly expanded our order book in the Middle East substation market.”
He further highlighted that the company’s civil business continues to grow in the residential sector, securing projects from reputed real estate developers.
With these new contracts, KEC International’s total order intake for FY25 has reached Rs246 billion, reflecting a robust 36% year-on-year growth.
