LONGi Holds Hi-MO 9 & GSE Workshop in Oman

On February 23rd, LONGi held a workshop in Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, in which LONGi technical experts exchanged with clients from leading industry enterprises in Oman. Based on the unique needs of Omani market, LONGi provided targeted and differentiated solutions to customers, focusing on LONGi’s high – efficiency BC modules, GSE Solution, technical delivery, and O&M services. This fully demonstrated LONGi’s strength as an end – to – end comprehensive solution provider, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.

As an emerging renewable energy market with huge potential, Oman is endowed with abundant solar and wind resources, and has made ambitious development plan. Solar power therefore can play a crucial role in the country’s energy transformation and sustainable development.

During the workshop, Omani customers expressed keen interest in the adaptability of PV modules to the local extreme desert conditions, the quality assurance service of modules, and the efficiency of mass – production module under different cell technology routes. In response, LONGi technical team provided in-depth explanations and introduced Hi – MO 9 module based on high – efficiency HPBC 2.0 technology. Hi – MO 9 is designed to meet the demand for high – efficiency power generation throughout the entire life cycle of large – scale power plants. It has core advantages such as higher power generation capacity, lower BOS costs, and higher reliability. Even in the extreme high – temperature environment of Oman, Hi MO 9 can still generate electricity efficiently. Moreover, LONGi’s strict BOM quality control system and test sequences that exceed IEC standards can ensure the reliable and stable operation of the modules for 30 years, bringing higher and more reliable returns on investment to customers.

To address the challenges posed by Oman’s high wind loads, strong ground reflection, and heavy dust accumulation, LONGi offers tailored PV+ solutions designed to meet customers’ specific needs. For example, the Edge module, engineered for desert environments, features the the advanced “Fengrui” frame, which can effectively improve the load – bearing performance of the modules in high – wind environments and optimize the reflectivity on the back of the modules. Additionally, the special design of the “Yichen” glass coating on the surface of the modules can effectively reduce the accumulation of dust during the operation and maintenance of PV modules, and therefore reduce power loss, and provide better power generation performance.

Recognizing the complexities of large-scale PV power plant design—such as its high reliance on professional expertise, inefficiencies, and the challenges of manual optimization—LONGi has introduced GSE Pioneer, an advanced design software. This one-stop pre-development tool streamlines the entire design process, offering full coverage from scheme comparison and optimization to one-click design report generation. Compared to traditional methods, GSE Pioneer reduces design time from several weeks to just 15 minutes, increasing efficiency by 500% and significantly enhancing investment decision-making.

Beyond product and design solutions, LONGi also shared insights on technical delivery and operation & maintenance (O&M) best practices. From initial project planning and design to the deployment of high-efficiency modules and long-term O&M support, LONGi remains committed to providing end-to-end, comprehensive solutions that ensure reliable operation throughout the project lifecycle.

This workshop was held in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Alongisde technical presentations, LONGi incorporated activities such as knowledge quizzes and jigsaw puzzle challenges, allowing customers to deepen their understanding of LONGi’s innovations through hands-on experiences.

Looking ahead, LONGi will continue to prioritize customer needs, continuously provide more efficient and reliable products and services to Omani customers, so as to jointly contribute to Oman’s energy transition and global green transformation.
